Sara La Bounty, CMP, CTSM

Executive Assistant

As the Executive Assistant at Salud Education, Sara La Bounty works with the Executive Management Team to support the business operations of the organization. She coordinates the project management of the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) application and state licensure, manages the schedules and communications of the executives, oversees human resources and compliance, and administers payroll. Prior to this role, Ms. La Bounty has had over a decade as an Events Manager for both the corporate and non-profit arenas.  She was a corporate meeting and trade show expert for a mid-sized publicly traded online higher education company. Her specialties were in planning user group conferences, customer meetings, sales meetings, Presidents’ Club incentive trips, trade shows and VIP events. During this time and with the support of her Executive Management Team, Ms. La Bounty pursued advanced career development opportunities by earning her designations as a Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). In 2020, she received the Executive Education Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University and also became a Pandemic Compliance Advisor (PCA) in 2021. As a veteran Events Manager, she has handled all aspects of trade show and meeting/conference planning, including contract negotiations, on-site meeting logistics, food and beverage management, transportation, hospitality, and off-site events. As a long-time member of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI’s) Rocky Mountain Chapter, she also has participated on various award-winning committees and was nominated as a Rising Star.

Ms. La Bounty received her B.S. in Elementary Education, with a Minor in Sociology, at Illinois State University. She has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, served as PTA Secretary at the local elementary school, and awarded Top Walker for fundraising for multiple years, while on the Board of the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk.  She volunteers with Food Bank of the Rockies, Broomfield FISH Family Resource Center, and You Are Not Alone Mom 2 Mom (YANAM2M). Ms. La Bounty is proud to be a mentor of the CTSM Program through Northern Illinois University’s Outreach Program where all her mentees have earned their certificate. In her personal time, you will find her traveling with her husband of over twenty years, spending time with her two teenagers, enjoying country concerts with friends, attending book club and competing in pickleball.
